Liturgical Ministries

Episcopalians enjoy lots of worship ministry opportunities.
  • Acolytes - including lectors, MC (Masters of Ceremonies), torchbearers, flag bearers, chalice bearers, and crucifers!
  • Sanctus bells - our little ones especially love ringing these bells during the Communion prayer.
  • Ushers - greet folks at the door, guide the Offertory and communion processions. Contact Valori+ for information.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild at Emmanuel Church is an outstanding group of people who prepare our sacred space for worship on Sundays, feast days, and holy days in the Church year.  Teams share a rotating schedule in this behind-the-scenes ministry. Contacts:  Jeannie Keyes and Pam Penrose

Choirs: Adult & Children

Emmanuel's music program includes two amazing choirs:
  • The Adult Choir led by our Director of Music, Jae Park  
  • The Children/Youth choir led by Lauren Romano.
There are also opportunities for voice and instrument solos and special groups. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings after the Fellowship Dinner.

Flower Guild

Our “Flower Guild” provides for flowers for Sunday worship. When our worship is complete, the flowers travel to FCCI (Faith Christian Church of India) to glorify God at their worship.  Anyone can contribute to the Flower Guild at any time during the year. Parish Life & Pastoral Care

Caring Committee

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The caring committee is a group of compassionate individuals who assist the clergy in making friendly visits to the sick or shut-in. They also provide meals (online orders or homemade) to families celebrating or struggling due to a life event through Martha's Meals. They also make personal phone calls or send cards. Contact: Peg Cooper for Caring Committee or Lisa Liss for Martha's Meals.​
In collaboration with the caring committee, members of the parish who have the gift of knitting, sewing, or crocheting, are encouraged to join the prayer shawl ministries small group and make blankets and shawls for the sick of our parish. This group meets every other Monday in the TreeHouse Room in the churcn offices. Contact: Peg Cooper

Men of Emmanuel - MOE

MOE is a group of friends meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Parish Hall Dining Room to share life, friendship, make and pack sandwiches and snacks which are then delivered to St. Patrick’s Center, who takes it to the Grace House (which they are leasing from Emmanuel), a ministry for homeless men. Women of Emmanuel - WOE

Women of Emmanuel (WOE - name change under consideration) meets to eat, pray, play, and learn together.  Recent events include a garden party, and a guided stained-glass windows tour in our sanctuary. Events are planned for 2025 - watch the newsletter for details!  Contact:  Donna Erickson
