Emmanuel PreSchool (Emmanuel Center for the Young Years) has
provided a good pre-school experience for three, four, and five-year
old children since 1949.
The school is based in the
Emmanuel Episcopal Church building at Nine South Bompart, but it is
non-sectarian -- open to children of all races and creeds.
There are two teachers to each group of 12-16 children, and special teachers for music, creative movement, yoga and science.
We
offer a two-year program. The first year is a two, three or
five-day-a-week class for three and four-year olds. The second year is
a five-day-a-week class for four and five-year olds or a four day class
for young four-year olds. Entrance age requirements coincide with those
for kindergarten. In addition to our regular program, we have an
extended day program on some afternoons.
Our
school year schedule is similar to that of the Webster Groves schools
-- with a few changes. The school is in session from 9:00 to 11:45
daily and is open to visiting by interested persons at any time.
