The Senior High Youth group, serving youth in 9th through 12th grades, focuses on faith, service, and fellowship. Two Sunday afternoons each month at 3:00 p.m., we
gather as a group, perform service in the St. Louis community, explore
matters of faith, and have fun! In addition to Sundays, we regularly have other fun and service-related activities, such as our weekend camping trip to "Deutsch's Cabin" on the Gasconade River. (See photos, left and below).
J2A (Journey to Adulthood)
– Sunday mornings provide youth opportunities for deepening their faith
and reflecting on their development as mature
Christians.
Each fall and winter, overnight retreats provide
opportunities for group bonding, faith-based activities, and great
memories.
Mission trips –
A series of mission trips (urban, rural, international, and Native
American) challenges youth to live out their faith in service to
others. Summer 2010 was the year for a trip to the Cherokee Nation in Talequah, OK. In June 2009, 29 youth and 8 leaders traveled to Guatemala to work with God’s Child Project building homes, working in a homeless shelter and infant malnutrition center. Read more about the trip from one of the adults who accompanied the group by clicking here.
